This 18KT Solid Gold 50's Chronographe Suisse is a very special and unique one thanks to the condition it is in, and the beautifully aged Tropical Dial.
Quite rare to find a Chronographe Suisse with a Tropical Dial, especially one this beautiful. For the ones that don't know what a Tropical dial is : this is a discoloration of the dial caused by the sun (UV), and mostly happens if a watch is worn by many years in sunny and tropical climates.
Chronographe Suisse stands for 'Swiss Chronograph'. This successful brand thrived from the 1940's to the 1970's and made many beautiful and reliable Chronographs at that time, some of which were branded by local jewelers.
The movement is in great and very clean condition, keeps time very well as can be seen on the timegrapher, and runs very strong with a reserve of 43 hours.
